Mission Projects

This page covers some of the mission projects that St Dunstan's is involved in.

Rubbish Dump Kids, Manila

As part of our Mission Action Plan, St Dunstan’s has allocated 5% of its income from discretionary giving (i.e. plate offerings) to mission projects: half to be allocated to an international program and half to be used to support local or Australian initiatives. This amount will rise to 10% in 2009.

The Anglican Board of Mission in Australia works with the Episcopal (Anglican) Church of the Philippines to reach out to the so-called 'rubbish dump kids' - marginalized children who make their living scavenging from rubbish on the outskirts of Manila.

St Dunstan’s Vestry (church council) has agreed to support this ABM initiative for the next three years. Learn more about the heart-warming work being done with these impoverished kids in Manila from this Australian-produced video clip

Please pray for the 'rubbish dump kids' and help support our project.
